Round 1 of the Percy Stallard National Series - Sunday 9th May

I managed to hang onto the bunch for the first three laps before the hills took some of the speed out of most riders' legs. Feeling more confident and nearer the front, I went with a few attacks but didn't manage to gain more than a few seconds. Apparently the three riders who were away had strong teams and were active in closing everything down. I attacked with another rider on the final climb to the finish but we were caught, finishing 15th overall and 5th category B rider.
I won a bottle of Champagne as "Most Elegant Rider", must have been due to the NRCC kit.
