LVRC - EASTWAY - SUN 14th MARCH

Tony Bradford rode his first ever LVRC at Eastway on the 14th March.  There was a good turnout of about 40 riders in the ABCD race which was 1 hr plus 5 laps.  Once the race settled down after the 20 min mark Tony attacked and took three riders with him, two from the Sport and Publicity and another from the Twickenham and they stayed clear for about 10 laps.  They eventually caught a rider who had been away on his own from the start of the race. This rider immediately put the pressure on  causing Tony to blow but he kept going.  Tony was caught by the pursuing group of five. He had little left in the final sprint but managed to finish 8th overall. On a windy day the pace was 22mph. The winner was Costa Pierides.
