ROUND 9 - KEN
DAVIS SALVER “10"
- BRICKENDON GREEN
Thirteen
North Roaders braved the wet conditions in round nine of the Ken Davis
Salver at Brickendon Green. The rain held off until the start of the time
trial, making the times slower for every one except for second place
Richard Somerset, who despite the wet roads rode his best time of the year
so far, collecting nine points with a time of 23:26. Another good ride
from the leader of the Ken Davis Salver competition Roger Bishop; taking a
hat-trick of wins he passed the time keeper in 23:20 and was the winner on
the night. In third place, collecting eight points, was Marco Arnone,
seventy seconds behind second place Somerset. North Road new member Brian
Goodwin, rode his first Brickendon Green event of the year. Despite going
off course, Brian came past the time keeper in 28:25 and collected his
first two points. Chapeau.
