Another
good night for the North Road Cycling Club’s Brickendon Green “10”
with 22 riders taking part, eighteen of them North Roaders. The
competition is really hotting up, with Roger Bishop riding his personal
best by four seconds the same improvement as last week. He also took the
ten points. Roger has increased his lead over Darren Rochford by seven
points in the league standings. Darren took nine points with a time of
23:10. Riding his second race of the season and beating his last week’s
time by 21 seconds, Peter Nunn took the third position. Chris Glithero,
also rode his best time of the year and came past the time keeper in
24:34. Also riding their PB’s were James McAleese (24:44), Trevor Burke
(25:26), taking a massive 24 seconds off his last week’s PB and North
Road’s track man, Nigel Cameron (26:38) four seconds off his best.
Riding their best times of the year were Don Hale (26:02); Richard Norris
(26:17), Paul Groves (28:23) and Andrew Gilbert. The actual winner was
last week’s winner John McMillan (Kenton RC) in 22:24
