Just over halfway through the Ken
Davis Salver Darren Rochford came back with a vengeance, knocking 30
seconds off his personal best, and collecting ten points. In second place,
Richard Somerset rode well with a time of 23:35. The leader of the salver,
Roger Bishop, was relegated to third position with a time of 24:10. In
fourth place came Bruce Metheringham 36 seconds behind Roger. The next
four places were separated by one second with Alan Harvey coming past the
time keeper in 24:54 and Chris Glithero, Andy Lancaster and Allan
Mendelsohn coming in with the same time: 24:55. Also riding her personal
best was Alizon Hargreaves; she knocked 28 seconds off her best time.
Andrew Gilbert rode his best time of the year so far finishing in 29:28.
The winner on the night was the former North Roader, Craig Simpson (Blue
Sky Cycles), in a very fast time of 20:24.
