ROUND 2 – 2003 KEN DAVIS SALVER “10”, BRICKENDON GREEN 

Despite only coming back from Majorca the day before – Brian Robertson and Richard Somerset took the first two placings in Round Two of the Ken Davis Salver. Despite the cloudy and windy conditions, twenty two riders competed, with eleven from the North Road. Despite the conditions, some riders were caught in a heavy shower, Brian carried on from last year, coming past Alan Kennedy, the timekeeper in 23:01, taking ten points and the overall winners prize, followed by Richard in 24:21, both had tired legs from their efforts in the mountains of Majorca. With times slower than in Round One, Chris Bullock, Tim Jenkins and John Davy all improved their times. Bruce Metheringham had to retire, breaking his tri-bars on the way to Hertford.
