ROUND 7 – 2003 KEN DAVIS SALVER “10”, BRICKENDON GREEN

With the absence of the overall leader, Brian Robertson, there was a chance to gain some ground on Brian in Round 7 of the Ken Davis Salver at Brickendon Green. The first four places all had their best times for 2003. Pete came past the timekeeper in 22:31, just pipping the 2001 overall winner, Neil Lewis, by two seconds. Continuing his good form from our Road Race Richard Somerset came in third collecting 8 points. Darren Rochford was fourth. Derek Evans, knocking 21 seconds off his best, achieved a personal best. Another three riders had their best times for 2003, Chris Glithero, Bruce Metheringham and Donald Hale. Nigel Cameron and his son George, riding tandem again, completed the whole course and finished in a time of 30:37.
